Practice Management Team

Mrs Katharine Wilson is our Practice Manager, assisted by Ms Nicole Evans and Ms Sally Chadd.

They available to help with any queries, referrals or other admin work.

Practice Nurses

Our Practice Nurses are Mrs Rebecca Thexton, Mrs Sue Brown, Mrs Laura Cartwright and Mrs Lauren Davey.

They are available by appointment for advice on:

• Diabetes Management
• Heart Disease Management
• Coronary Heart Disease follow-up
• Hypertension
• Hormone Replacement Therapy
• Cervical Smears
• Flu Vaccinations
• NHS Health Checks
• Dressings/Removal of Stitches

Receptionists

Our Receptionists are the vital link in our communications. All our staff try very hard to help you obtain the service you require and sometimes may need to ask for additional details regarding your condition in order to help the Doctors to prioritise.

Please do not shout at them.

We as a practice support the NHS Zero Tolerance Policy in Primary Care regarding aggressive/abusive behaviour towards staff.

District Nurses deliver nursing care in the home, to meet the needs of patients and their carers. Their main duties are:

• To nurse patients in their own home following discharge from hospital
• To offer specialist nursing care for acute and terminally ill people
• To work with the GPs to maintain the health of patients by promoting their independence

A Community Midwife is available on Friday mornings for ante-natal appointments at Kirkby Surgery.
