CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY –DUDDON VALLEY MEDICAL PRACTICE RESPONSE (Updated 24/03/2020)

During this very difficult time we are trying to deliver the best support we can to our patients. The day to day running of the practice is currently extremely challenging at the moment so please be patient with staff as they continue to do their best to help you.

Until further notice please be aware of the following:

1 – Both Broughton and Kirkby reception areas/waiting rooms are closed to patients.

2 – Both surgery front doors are locked.

3 – All appointment requests are currently triaged by the doctors over the telephone.

4 – Please only come to the back doors at both Broughton and Kirkby surgery buildings if you are collecting medication or need to post any repeat medication requests/correspondence through the letter box.

5 – You must stand back 2 metres from the door when this is opened by any of our staff.

6 – Please keep any conversations as brief as possible when you attend to limit any risks of spreading this virus.

We need to protect each other as much as possible so DO NOT ATTEND EITHER OF THE PRACTICE SURGERY BUILDINGS TO BE SEEN BY A DOCTOR OR A NURSE UNLESS THIS HAS BEEN PRE-ARRANGED THE DOCTOR OR NURSE WILL OBVIOUSLY BE EXPECTING YOU AND WILL EITHER MEET YOU AT THE FRONT DOOR OR COLLECT YOU FROM YOUR CAR
